Increase in grave violations against children in Israel and Palestine/Aljazeera.
A UN report which names and shames Israel’s armed and security forces for killing and maiming children, is due to be released Today.
The Children in Armed Conflict Report was handed to Security Council members Tuesday.
Globally, the report indicates a 21% increase in grave violations against children in armed conflict in 2023 and a 35% increase in the killing and maiming of children.
Moreover, it reports a 155% increase in grave violations against children in Israel and Palestine.
The UN verified 5,698 grave violations against children committed by Israeli forces last year, and 137 committed by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
