Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan is to appear before a special judge at the Federal Judicial Complex Court, after Islamabad High Court declared Khan’s trial (held in prison) on charges of leaking state secretsز

This would be Khan’s first public appearance since he was jailed in August.

Khan and his aide Shah Mahmood Qureshi were indicted over Pakistan’s Official Secrets Act case on October 23rd.

Khan was accused of misusing a confidential diplomatic cable for political purposes when he was the PM.

The trial was ongoing in the prison.

Both Khan and Qureshi have pleaded not guilty.

Imran Khan’s prison sentence in a corruption case was also suspended by the court in August.
