Possible protests, as political tensions continue to simmer after members of parliament passed an amended election law on Monday.

That prompted people to take to the streets in several provinces with Independent MPs and protesters saying the election law was one of the major victories of their demonstrations in 2019.

They fear amendments will reverse gains while increasing repression.

They’re threatening to take to the streets once again and start an open-ended sit-in.
