Monitoring the aftermath of the earthquake that shook Indonesia’s main island of Java on Monday.
As of 10G Wednesday, authorities reported 271 dead, 40 missing, more than 2000 injured, and more than 61,000 displaced.
Cianjur, a town in West Java, was the epicenter.
But the 5.6 magnitude quake also shook high-rise buildings in the greater Jakarta area.
The country is frequently struck by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis because of its location on the ‘Ring of Fire’.
