Gaza’s Grim Toll Deepens Amid Ceasefire Hopes

Gaza’s media office said on Saturday that at least 66 Palestinian children had died from hunger since the war began, blaming the deaths on the continued closure of crossings that prevent the entry of baby milk and nutritional supplements/Al Jazeera.
At least 60 people were killed across Gaza on Saturday, according to reports.
The Israeli army said the IDF and ISA killed Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa, a senior figure in Hamas’s military wing, in Sabra, Gaza City, on Friday.
Meanwhile, the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported a worsening nutrition crisis. UNICEF stated that, between January and May 2025, an average of 112 children per day were admitted for malnutrition treatment.
