At least 77 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza on Saturday, with 47 deaths reported in Gaza City alone, according to medical sources. Among the dead were 19 people reportedly awaiting aid in central and southern parts of the Strip, underscoring the lethal risks even in areas designated for humanitarian relief.

In Gaza City’s Al Rimal district, three airstrikes hit a residential apartment block, killing seven, including six children. Most of the injured were also minors. Israel stated the attack was aimed at a senior Hamas figure.

The mounting civilian toll prompted a stark warning from the head of the Red Cross, who said a safe mass evacuation of Gaza City would be “impossible” under current conditions, as Israel escalates its military operations in the densely populated enclave.
