Romania is rapidly becoming Europe’s dumping ground for illegal waste.

Sources told Al Jazeera that organised crime groups have established strong links inside Romania that allow it to dump radioactive medical waste and other chemical waste.

Romania’s investigators say that when they contact other governments about this such as the UK, they often get no reply.
