The death toll from the clashes between the Sudanese army and paramilitary has increased to 189 with 2000 others injured, according to a doctors association.
The dispute between the army and the paramilitary forces stems from a disagreement over how the RSF, headed by Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, should be integrated into the military and what authority should oversee the process.
The merger is a key condition of Sudan’s unsigned transition agreement.
