The situation in the Occupied West Bank continues to deteriorate as Israel’s military aggression intensifies. Sunday marks the 55th day of Israel’s attacks on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, an area that has been severely impacted by ongoing violence. The death toll has risen to at least 30 people, with dozens more suffering injuries. The attacks have also caused widespread displacement, with almost the entire population of the Jenin refugee camp forced to flee. In addition to the human toll, the destruction of homes and infrastructure has been catastrophic, with around 500 houses and facilities reduced to rubble.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old Palestinian was killed during an Israeli military raid on the town of Salem, located east of Nablus. Israeli forces stormed the town, leading to clashes with locals. Soldiers fired live ammunition and tear gas in an effort to quell the unrest. Another young man, aged 18, was critically wounded after being shot in the head. He remains in critical condition at a hospital in Beita, south of Nablus.

Meanwhile, in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on residents, further escalating the situation. The sounds of large explosions were reported across the area, heightening fears of even more destruction and violence in the already tense environment.

In Hebron, the Israeli military conducted another raid, during which they arrested a young Palestinian man, Mahmoud Ashraf Al-Awiwi. His arrest is part of a broader pattern of raids and detentions across the West Bank, contributing to the rising tension and insecurity felt by Palestinian civilians.

As these violent acts continue, the humanitarian crisis in the West Bank deepens, with innocent civilians bearing the brunt of the violence. The destruction of homes, displacement of families, and loss of life paint a grim picture of the ongoing conflict in the region.
