Police in London arrested dozens of demonstrators for supporting Palestine Action on a second successive Saturday, a week after the British government proscribed the activist group under anti-terror laws.

Footage showed officers moving in on a small group displaying signs backing the group, gathered at lunchtime on the steps of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Parliament Square.

Defend Our Juries, a campaign group that had announced plans to hold rallies in several UK cities “to defy” the ban, criticised the police response.
