Brazil’s Supreme Court examines the annulment of former president Lula da Silva’s corruption convictions, which have cleared the way for him to run again in next year’s elections.

Brazil’s Attorney General wants the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling by Judge Edson Fachin and reinstate the convictions which would prevent
Lula from running again. Lula, who served as president from 2003 to 2010 has already announced his plans to run for President again next year.
