Blinken is on a new trip to the Middle East
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to travel to Israel and the West Bank as early as Thursday as the US hopes to find a way to further extend the ceasefire and get more Israeli captives released.
It will be his 4th trip to Israel since the attack on October7 – The four-day ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas had been due to expire Monday but was extended for an additional two days, meaning the extension will be expiring just as Blinken is arriving in Israel.
