More than 300 passengers, all of Indian nationality, who were supposed to connect Nicaragua from the United Arab Emirates, have remained in the reception hall of Vatry airport since Thursday evening on suspicion of being victims of human trafficking.

Their detention by the border police can only last four days, but a JLD can extend the duration of the placement by eight days then, exceptionally, by an additional eight days.

The hearings were to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday and continue until Monday.
