South Africa’s biggest trade union federation-the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) holds nationwide marches to protest the state of the country’s economy and high unemployment.

Cosatu says it wants the government to address the rising cost of living, reduce interest rates, job losses and root out corruption.

The trade union federation says it expects thousands of union members to converge in several cities across the country including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, and Durban.
