Start of the Jewish Passover holiday.
Passover and Ramadan converge this year with potential tension after Jewish nationalists called on Jews to enter to Al-Aqsa compound.
The compound, which Jews refer to as the Temple Mount, is a flashpoint of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with incidents often arising during religious holidays.
The agreed rules state that non-Muslims are allowed to visit Al Aqsa mosque during Ramadan from 04G – 0830G in the morning, numbers are not limited, as long as they enter only for visiting.
Worshiping in Al Aqsa for non-Muslims is forbidden.
Israeli police on Monday detained an ultranationalist Israeli campaigner who had planned to carry out a Jewish sacrifice
at Al-Aqsa.
