Judges, lawyers, bankers, businessmen, human rights advocates, politicians, and members of Brazil’s civil society have signed a letter in defence of the Democratic Rule of Law in Brazil.

The letter is a response to President Jair Bolsonaro’s speeches attacking the Supreme Court and casting doubt on the Brazilian electoral system.

The event happens five days before presidential candidates can start campaigning on radio and television on the  upcoming Presidential Election, October 2nd
