A meeting between U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin with Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz, takes place just over a week after Israeli forces skilled  Shireen Abu  Akleh.

Shireen Abu Akleh was assassinated on  Wednesday, May 11 in Jenin in the Occupied West Bank.

She was shot in the head even though she was visibly identifiable as a journalist.

Before Shireen’s funeral in Occupied East Jerusalem last Friday, MAY 13, Israeli forces attacked mourners carrying Shireen’s casket outside a hospital, sparking international outrage.

Biden is expected to travel to the Middle East towards the end of June and meet with Israeli and Palestinian officials. However, the WH has not confirmed the trip yet.
