Storm Henri bears down on the US. East Coast/Aljazeera.
Latest following tropical storm Henri making landfall late Sunday, the first in the region in 30 years.
The storm was expected to bring winds up to 120KMH and create widespread flooding in the ground saturated by the remnants of tropical storm Fred.
A tropical storm warning was in effect for the coast of New York and New Jersey, west of East Rockaway Inlet to Manasquan Inlet, including New York City.
