Palestine Solidarity Rally Draws Diverse Coalition to Detroit
Detroit is set to host the second annual People’s Conference for Palestine, expecting thousands to gather under the banner “Gaza is the Compass.”
The event brings together a broad coalition of activists, trade unionists, students, artists, and intellectuals, all seeking to build a mass movement across North America.
At a pivotal moment in Gaza, the conference aims to strategize and mobilize existing networks for the next phase of activism. Discussions will feature global and regional movement leaders, alongside workshops focused on labour, student, cultural, and anti-war organizing.
To facilitate attendance, buses will travel from New York, Chicago, and the DC/Maryland/Virginia corridor. Notably, the main hall has been symbolically renamed after Anas Al-Sharif by organisers, underscoring the event’s grassroots ethos.
