Young Rohingya women in Cox’s Bazar are among some of the most vulnerable of the refugee population, so learning a skill can help them support their families.
There are limited opportunities, but since 2022, thousands of people in the camps have participated in training to learn how to install solar and plumbing systems, do community health work, and grow food.
These sprawling camps are home to about 1 million Rohingya refugees who are still not allowed official work permits.
