UN Security Council holds an open debate on accountability for victims of sexual violence in conflict.

Briefings are expected from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Iraqi Yazidi human rights activist Nadia Murad.

UK Minister of State for South Asia, North Africa, the UN and the Commonwealth, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, is expected to chair the meeting.
