UN Raises Alarm Over Rising Deaths Near Gaza Aid Distribution Sites
16 July, 2025
The United Nations human rights office reported on Tuesday that at least 875 people have been killed in the past six weeks at or near aid distribution points in Gaza. The majority of these deaths occurred around sites managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by both the United States and Israel.
An additional 201 people were killed along the routes of aid convoys operated by other relief organisations, including the United Nations. The figures underscore the growing risks faced by civilians as they attempt to access food and humanitarian assistance amid continued Israeli airstrikes and deepening shortages.
