Turk’s Annual Rights Report Opens U.N. Session in Geneva

The United Nations Human Rights Council has convened in Geneva, where Volker Turk, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, is expected to deliver his annual report.
Each year, during one of the Council’s three regular sessions, the High Commissioner presents a comprehensive assessment of global human rights violations. This year’s report is anticipated to focus heavily on the situation in Gaza.
