The UN is struggling to deliver aid to more than 418,000 refugees who’ve crossed from Darfur into Chad since the war in Sudan began on April 15th, fleeing ethnic cleansing by armed ethnic armed groups and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The UN refugee agency is blaming the rainy season, which is making already difficult road journeys more of a challenge.

More than 1-million people have fled Sudan since the fighting broke out in April, over 40% of them into Chad.

Most are women and children, most heading to Adre (just across the border from West Darfur). As of SEPT 15, 230,000+ were camped there.
