The worst affected states are Khartoum, Gezira, Kordofan and Darfur.

Flooding has blocked humanitarian aid getting into Port Sudan and Darfur.

Floods also contributed to the spread of waterborne diseases.

In August, WHO reported at least 11,327 cholera cases in Sudan, 316 of them deadly, since June 2023.
