At least 32 people have died according to Korean media quoting national authorities, and at least 10 more are still missing.
Authorities said on Sunday that rescue workers had pulled seven bodies from vehicles trapped in a flooded underpass in central South Korea after days of torrential rains caused landslides and the overflow of a river.
More than 5,500 people have been forced to evacuate their homes and seek temporary shelter, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety said.
Heavy rainfall is forecast across much of South Korea through at least, today, Monday, July 17.
