A high risk of famine persists across the entire Gaza Strip as long as the ongoing conflict continues, and humanitarian access remains severely restricted.

This dire situation has significant implications for the well-being of the population, which is already facing life-threatening challenges.

As it stands, approximately 96 percent of the population in the Gaza Strip are grappling with high levels of acute food insecurity, a condition that is expected to persist through September 2024.

The continued hostilities not only exacerbate the scarcity of essential resources but also hinder efforts to deliver vital humanitarian aid.

The international community has called for urgent action to alleviate the suffering and address the root causes of this crisis.
