Over 100 people died during recent floods in west and north Rwanda, but thousands remain displaced.

The government now says many in temporary facilities must be moved to other areas, due to safety concerns – Farmlands and other important soil sources were washed away in the flash floods, increasing the risks of worse disasters in the future.
