A new investigation out of Myanmar has uncovered more evidence of scorched earth tactics allegedly deployed by the country’s coup leaders.

Rights group Myanmar Witness has documented more than 200 cases of the military destroying villages in the country’s northeast.

The information was gathered over 12 months – and appears to show the systematic and deliberate destruction of whole communities, by setting them alight.
