On Sunday, five individuals were reportedly killed by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza. Late the same day, the fifth group of returnees reached Gaza’s Nasser compound in Khan Yunis via the Rafah crossing, with a source at the Nasser Medical Complex confirming the arrival of 42 individuals.

The Gaza Health Ministry has raised serious concerns about the critical state of 20,000 patients, who urgently require medical evacuation to prevent fatal outcomes. Israeli media indicated plans to permit approximately 150 Palestinians to leave Gaza daily, prioritizing patients, alongside companions, through the Rafah crossing.

This crossing, Gaza’s sole link to the external world, was reopened on Sunday morning to facilitate humanitarian departures and the return of Palestinian nationals stranded in Egypt. Despite this reopening, confusion looms after intermittent closures on Friday and Saturday.
