Israel Murders Journalists
In London, members of the National Union of Journalists gather outside Downing Street to mark the second and final day of a coordinated “48 hours of action” campaign.
The event aims at highlighting the escalating dangers faced by Palestinian journalists in Gaza and to condemn the ongoing violence and fatalities among media professionals in the region.
While Al Jazeera’s Gaza Bureau Chief, Wael Dahdouh, cannot attend in person, his message will be shared via a recorded video, underscoring the precarious conditions under which local journalists continue to operate.
Meanwhile, across the Irish Sea in Dublin, a smaller but no less resolute vigil takes place at the Spire on O’Connell Street, also organised by the National Union of Journalists.
Both gatherings serve as poignant reminders of the perils confronting those who risk their lives to report from conflict zones and the international solidarity they inspire.
