The International Rescue Committee is expected to release a year-end report titled “Emergency Watchlist,” which is a list of the top 20 countries in the world that the IRC believes are at the most serious risk of further humanitarian deterioration over the coming year.

The report says the worst humanitarian crises of 2021 are those that have been neglected by the international community.

IRC says its aim is to serve as a warning to policymakers and world leaders about the impact of humanitarian neglect, the costs of diplomatic inertia, and the danger of failing to prepare for crises looming on the horizon.
