An Israeli court turned down an appeal for an early release of cancer-ridden Nasser AbuHmeed from Israeli jails, another session is set for today, October 23rd, and the same result is expected.

The 50-year-old has spent 30 years in Israeli jails, sentenced to seven life terms, and 50 years in 2002 for his role in the 2nd intifada.

AbuHmeed has lost a brother to the Israeli occupation, four others are serving multiple life sentences and the family home was demolished several times.

Since 1967, 231 Palestinians have died in Israeli custody and Israel keeps withholding the remains of nine, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society.

More than 600 Palestinian prisoners need medical attention, 23 are battling cancer.
