UN Security Council meets for a planned adoption of an extension to the current UNSC resolution allowing the cross-border humanitarian aid operation into Syria.
The current authorisation for the cross-border mechanism expires today, Monday.
The Security Council voted to extend the resolution by six months on July 12, 2022, after Russia scuppered efforts to extend it by a year.
Extended again by six months in January.
Yemen is also to be discussed at UNSC today.
