Representatives of the families of those held captive in Gaza will meet with all members of the War Cabinet today Monday, following intense pressure on the government to agree to a meeting.

Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir says that today he will bring for initial approval in the Knesset a bill mandating the death penalty for “terrorists”.

The death penalty has only been imposed twice in the history of Israel, the last time being the execution of Adolf Eichmann in 1962.
